Expo2020 Al Wasl Dome
The magic
Experience life, supercharged. Standing at 67.5m tall, higher than the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and 130m wide, the Al Wasl Dome is a complex and stunning canvas. We created a projection-mapping spectacular to take the audience on a transformative journey from the cellular level to the surface of Mars, continually moving onwards and upwards. At each stage in the journey from inner space to outer space, the visuals were influenced by machine understanding – with a scale, pattern and repetition that go beyond a human’s view of the world.
The measurement
The mind-boggling magnitude of Expo2020, with over 24 million attendees, provided a stage for our team’s remarkable feat of projecting captivating visuals onto the largest 360 projection screen on the planet.
