Role Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Producer for an initial contract of 12 months (maternity cover) to join our busy team of producers. The role reports to the Executive Producer and sits within our creative studio. In this role, the Senior Producer will be responsible for the planning and delivery of world-class creative experiences overseeing Creative and Technology specialists alike and working closely alongside our production team to deliver projects.  

The role entails...

- Ensure the successful and timely delivery of projects by successfully budgeting, crewing and managing the workload. 
- Be comfortable creating and managing budgets of £100K + 
- Responsible for multidisciplinary teams consisting of Creative Directors, 2D/ 3D Animators, Tech Leads, Spatial Designers, Developers, Interactives and much more…both in house and freelance. 
- Be a passionate about delivering the best creative and find ways of producing so it does not jeopardise schedule and budget. 
- Drive all deliverables to be of the highest quality and get the best out of the team. 
- Break down brief/feedback and create a daily task list for team members and manage WIP deliveries 
- Hold weekly status meetings and daily stand-ups where necessary. 
- Be the main client interface on a project, explain complex ideas clearly, and manage expectations. 
- Communicate with Account Managers, Project Leads and other senior team members on project progress. 
- Document progress, keep all files up to date and ensure everyone has access to the correct and latest files. 
- Work in an independent fashion, solve problems, make decisions, and communicate effectively in demanding situations. 
- Play a dual role of client advocate and PA team advocate 
- Knowledge of video resolutions, formats, codecs, encoding. 
- Understanding of interactive process. 
- Ability to work in a team and independently.

The opportunity

This is a really exciting opportunity for a Lead 3D Artist to join our fun, innovative Studio, reporting to our Creative Director/Head of Creative. We are looking for someone to join our team to create immense immersive experiences, which are often as big (or bigger) than a building and seen by many! You’ll create your best work in our bright North London Studio and then watch your work come to life, experiencing it alongside live audiences! You will be offered the opportunity to travel and see the work you have created, across the globe!

You are currently a senior or lead 3D artist and animator who is passionate about honing their craft and producing outstanding work across diverse media. You have experience leading a team and taking on creative responsibility from concept to delivery; experience producing concepts and responding to creative briefs, pitching and presenting ideas. A desire to push the boundaries of digital experiences.

The role entails…

- Work with the Creative Director to understand the vision of the project, then communicate this to the team through guidance, documentation and feedback
- Work across the whole design process, from concept all the way to delivery
- Deliver key shots within animations as a heavyweight animator
- Work with our Technology team to bridge the gap between creative and technology to ensure all projects adhere to technical requirements
- Lead and motivate our team of talented 3D Artists to deliver amazing work
- Maintain informational flow to the team to ensure team members are aligned with project objectives
- Provide regular review and feedback on teams work in a clear & constructive manner
- Encourage creativity and participation from all team members
- Maintain efficient collaboration between the project team members and other dependent teams
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Creative Directors, Producers, Artists, Clients Services and other teams to push project quality
- Actively participate in the constant improvement of processes and guidelines
- Share knowledge and recommend best practices
- Take the lead in pushing the visual quality and standards to the highest level

What we’re looking for:

- Solid knowledge of C4D, Octane and Adobe After Effects; we want you to bring expertise to the table and really push the studio to the next level.
- Over 8 years experience in the motion graphics industry and experience leading a creative team.
- Art direction and good old communication.
- Excellent 2D and 3D animation skills.
- Concept development.
- Pitching and presentation.
- Knowledge of 3D pipeline.
- Experience working in the live events industry is preferable but not essential.
- Experience with Unreal, Ventuz, Realflow, Character Rigging, Notch desirable.

Role Summary

We are experiencing a phase of growth in our client services team and we are really excited to be hiring a Senior Account Manager. This role will report to our Account Director, sitting in our fast-paced media and experiential team. Defining briefs, generating creative ideas and proposals is your day-to-day, you’ll take ownership of accounts and oversee campaigns from design to delivery. This is a client-facing role that requires professional experience and industry knowledge to push for the best from all parties.

Role Summary

We are excited to be hiring a Resource Manager to sit in our Operations team. This role is critical to the success of our company; it’s the lynchpin between new business, client services, finance, project delivery and talent & culture.

The Resource Manager will ensure everyone knows what’s going on, what’s coming next and will escalate any potential risks or blocks to the right person; they will constantly monitor the delivery teams’ requirements, adjusting and shaping the team to meet both current and forecasted future client needs, while meeting commercial targets of high resource utilisation and a cost-effective resource pool.

They will be responsible for creative and technical resources across the company working closely with delivery teams to monitor project health, ensure the PA process is being followed, resources are effectively assigned, and issues are spotted quickly and resolved.

The role entails...

The successful applicant will:

- Be responsible for resource planning and allocation across the delivery teams; production, creative, technology & installations
- Liaise with client Services, delivery and heads of department to maintain a forecast of resource requirements over the coming months
- Work with department heads, project leads and other stakeholders to identify resource gaps and proactively manage this to close them
- Create and develop a database of freelance contacts and actively manage this to ensure freelance resource can be engaged swiftly
- Inform the finance team of resource plans and project milestones to trigger billing and income recognition
- Inform the management team of resource capacity and availability
- Monitor whether work is progressing to schedule, identify potential for overruns, and champion efficient working practices
- Drive resource costs down by ensuring the mix of permanent, freelancer and outsourced talent is optimised
- Oversee weekly schedule for departmental resources. Match requests to skillsets for optimal use of resources, being aware of the current skills and career aspirations of team members
- Produce and maintain internal documentation related to operational practices, processes and policies, including guidance on using Resource Guru
- Manage the freelancer budget, reporting on predicted and confirmed spend to finance.


You'll bring...

- Negotiation and conflict management skills - achieve the best possible outcome in every negotiation. Establishes empathy in all negotiations and anticipates, defuses and resolves conflicts between colleagues and clients
- Experience capturing specific (skill) requirements to anticipate resource requests. Ability to identify and investigate potential challenges to assist Project Managers/Producers in ensuring mitigation solutions are in place in advance
- Recommends strategies for providing adequate resource during spikes in demand or maintaining productivity during dips in demand
- Formalises means of tracking anticipated demand and communicating capacity
- Ability to identify skills gaps within studios/teams and communicate a staffing strategy with heads of departments and talent & culture
- Firm understanding of principles of budgeting and project finance
- Up to date knowledge of the freelance market and a network of freelance talent in the region
- Ability to identify key information, issues and trends from operational reports and experience designing operational reports to provide further insight into business activities where required
- Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously ensuring the highest standards of service and delivery.

- Experience in a traffic, project management or HR role within a project-based strategic, creative or technical agency environment

2nd Line Systems Engineer

The opportunity


We are hiring a 2nd Line Systems Engineer to join our busy IT team, reporting to our Head of IT. The role will provide first/second line hands-on support across the company. IT at Pixel Artworks is fast-paced, supporting a fab group of people; you’ll be busy but always greeted with a smile! We have a flexible approach to working, based both remotely and in the office, so you’ll be supporting the team both in-person and remotely. We’re constantly innovating at Pixel Artworks; this will offer you opportunity to learn about new technology and software – most recently we invested in VR headsets and we hope that you’ll be excited about driving new tech across the company.

The role entails...

- To provide first/second line hands-on IT support for all users based in a creative production studio, and also for a small number of remote workers and to escalate where appropriate.
- Answer and triage support tickets raised through the helpdesk system and act as a face-to-face resource for users, and in particular the Creative team in the Studio.
- Act independently where possible and troubleshoot tickets appropriately before escalating.
- Solve a variety of desktop support related tasks related to Windows 10 and a variety of software packages related to design.
- Keep up to date with technology improvements and make suggestions for new and better ways to use software and hardware that will help the business work more effectively.
- Create and set up new users and machines.
- Speak to suppliers and purchase equipment.
- Maintain logs relating to systems and KPIs.
- Ensure the anti-virus solution is up to date across all machines in the company.
- Troubleshoot rendering issues with the creative team.
- Ensure video conferencing works perfectly and be on standby for key calls.
- Ensure a high level of service to all users where faults are remedied quickly and decisively.
- Perform regular maintenance and monitoring tasks independently, as assigned by the Head of IT.
- Carry out any other tasks or work towards objectives as required.

You’ll bring…

- 1-2 years industry experience.
- Qualifications and experience: IT / Computer science degree or equivalent. 1-2 years professional experience.
- Exposure and some experience to Windows Server 2008 onwards.
- A good understanding of basic networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and switches.
- Excellent PC and Windows 10 skills.

Bonus points if you have…

- Good understanding of Microsoft Office 365, ideally including administration from the backend.
- Any experience of CG rendering and render farms, ideally Thinkbox Deadline.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or design/media packages, e.g. Cinema 4D.
